What Makes CFLE Trauma-Informed?

CFLE prioritizes creating a safe, non-shaming environment where empowerment and choice are central. By integrating trauma-informed principles, we foster a learning space that values each individual’s unique experiences and strengths. Students are encouraged to explore their executive functioning skills in a supportive and collaborative setting, empowering them to navigate challenges with resilience and confidence.

How to use CFLE

CFLE was designed to be adaptable to your environment. Lessons can be brief or extended based on classroom needs. The curriculum consists of nine modules broken into five parts, designed with a nine-week cycle in mind. Although modules can build or introduce new concepts, each module can stand alone, so your students can jump in at any time! Each lesson, as is, is intended to take 20-40 minutes and builds on each student’s individual academic plan. The resources and information provided are intended to reduce preparation time so you can start supporting your students as they develop their executive functioning skills right away. Begin your classes with a CFLE lesson and activity to encourage mindful engagement and academic resilience.
